My name is Jere D. James, and I write Westerns. My books are set in Arizona where I live with my dog, my mule, my
horse, and boxes of books that I sell as I travel around the country. When I'm on my boat, I sell books, too, and if you're
from the Northwest you've probably seen me up in the San Juan Islands or Canadian Gulf Islands. I leave my mule and horse
elsewhere when I'm aboard my vessel, though. Can't figure out how to take them along. Besides writing, I also tell magnificent
lies. That's really what fiction writers are, you know. Just darn good liars.
